We can all see from the Holy Scriptures a plethora of clearly documented records of certain people who had an Encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ or His Word which resulted in a clear Transformation in their lives (Rom. 6:6). Our Major Scriptural Text derived from the Gospel according to Luke the Physician narrates the story of a man by the name Zaccheus, a notable tax collector and a sinner who had an Encounter with the Love and Truth of Jesus Christ, leading to his Transformation. The Mercy and Grace of God has the Capacity to refine the so-called scum of the Earth from within to become Choice Holy Vessels of the Lord God Almighty Himself.
Isaiah 6:1 (NKJV) has a record of the Encounter the Prophet Isaiah himself had with the Glory of God: "In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a Throne, high and lifted up, and the Train of His Robe filled the temple." The Prophet Isaiah subsequently gave his own personal testimony after this Encounter in Isaiah 6:5-8: "So I said: “Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; FOR MY EYES HAVE SEEN THE KING, THE LORD OF HOSTS.” "Then one of the Seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a Live Coal which he had taken with the Tongs from the Altar. And he touched my mouth with it and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; Your iniquity is taken away, And your sin purged.” Also, I heard the Voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, ”Here am I! Send me.”
We also have the diligently documented case of the Apostle Paul, who also gave his own testimony to the Church Assembly dwelling in the region of Galatia: "For you have heard of my previous way of life in Judaism, how intensely I persecuted the Church of God and tried to destroy it. I was advancing in Judaism beyond many Jews of my own age and was extremely zealous for the traditions of my fathers. BUT WHEN GOD, WHO SET ME APART FROM BIRTH AND CALLED ME BY HIS GRACE, WAS PLEASED TO REVEAL HIS SON IN ME SO THAT I MIGHT PREACH HIM AMONG THE GENTILES, I DID NOT CONSULT ANY MAN” (Gal. 1:13-16). In recent times, we have seen people who were previously fraudsters, occultists, drug addicts, cultists, killers, terrorists etc., who encountered Jesus Christ and His Word, people who are currently on Fire for God. There is no single individual who can not be transformed by God as long as he has a First-hand Encounter with the Glory of God and the Power of His Truth. Selah.
