A LEGACY OF GOOD WORKS

Bible reading

Mark 10:29-30; 1 Corinthians 15:58; Colossians 4:12; 2 Corinthians 5:9-11; Revelation 20:11-15

Here is the Patience of the saints; here are those who keep the Commandments of God and the Faith of Jesus. Then I heard a Voice from Heaven saying to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their Labours, and their Works follow them.”
Revelation 14:12-13 (NKJV)

There is a difference between being alive and leaving a mark. Some people live, die and it is as if they never existed. Others die, but their voice keeps speaking. The Holy Bible says Abel, being dead, still speaks (Heb. 11:4). That is True Legacy which is not merely the property you hand over. It is the Life you hand over. It is the bridge from one generation to another. It is what you received, what you became and what you pass on. Genuine Spiritual Impact is not measured by the noise of a single generation; it is measured by the Momentum passed to the next. A Legacy is the Sacred Spiritual Bridge connecting generations, a Relay Race where what you receive in Prayer, Revelation and Sacrifice must be successfully handed over to those coming behind you.

When the Lord Jesus declared "Let your Light so shine before men, that they may see your Good Works..." (Matt. 5:16), He was not calling for performance. He was demanding Manifestation. Good Works are the Visible Currency of an Invisible Faith. In the Kingdom of God, your life is meant to be a Blueprint. When Apostle Paul charged Titus to ensure believers were "zealous of Good Works" (Tit. 2:14), he was pointing to a Lifestyle of Total Surrender.

Christianity is not a spectator sport. It is a Seed and for any seed to produce a forest that outlives it, it must first fall into the ground and die (Jn. 12:24). The Mission of the Church requires everything, your intellect, your career, your Financial capacity and your personal comfort. When you live a Life sacrificed on the Altar of Kingdom Advancement, your influence defies the grave. Revelation 14:13 reveals a Powerful Law: Those who die in the Lord rest from their labours but their Works follow them. Your impact doesn't stop when your heart stops; it echoes into Eternity. To build a Spiritual and Generational Footprint that outlasts your Earthly tenure, you must align with the following Kingdom Principles:

01

THE LAW OF GENERATIONAL CONTINUITY

God is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He never thinks in terms of individuals; He thinks in terms of lineages. What you build in God must serve as a Foundation for your children to stand higher.

02

THE REALITY OF THE BEMA SEAT

We will all stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ (2 Cor. 5:10). You will not be rewarded for your good intentions, your titles or your potential, but rather for the Tangible Fruit of your Obedience and Sacrifice.

03

THE LAW OF KINGDOM SACRIFICE

Heavy weights are lifted by men who endure hardship (2 Cor. 6:4-5). Persecution, misunderstanding, Financial trials and sleepless nights are the price tags for Generational Relevance.

04

TRANS-GENERATIONAL DIVIDENDS

God holds your Rewards until the Full Harvest of your life's Ripple Effect is realized. The souls won by the people you discipled are still credited to your account long after you have gone unto Glory.

Stop living for temporary applause but instead live for the Generational Verdict of God Who is calling for True Christian believers who will build institutions, raise strong Christian Families, fund Global Evangelism and establish Spiritual Altars that would shield their descendants. The Price may be high today but the Rest is Eternal. Stand firm, stay unmovable and keep abounding in the Work of the Lord because your Labour in Him is never in vain.

Prayer

Let us pray.

Heavenly Father, we glorify You this day. O Lord, please deliver us from a short-sighted lifestyle. Shift our mentalities from survival to Generational Impact. Give us the Revelation, Capacity and Grace to lay Spiritual and Physical Foundations that would bless generations long after we are gone in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen.
