The Lord God Almighty Himself has exalted the Church of Jesus Christ far above the rest of His Creation. It was He Who placed the established man over all the Works of His Hands (Heb. 2:7b) and He did this in His Sovereignty as well as according to His Divine Wisdom, entrusting to all of mankind the Honour of being in His Own Class (Ps. 82:6). However, this Unique Privilege vanished as a result of the Fall in the Garden of Eden, thereby triggering off the Redemptive Programme of God, which was accomplished through the Sacrifice of our Lord Jesus. Through His Passion, mankind was restored to his Prominent Position of Glory and Honour before Him (Col. 3:1-4).
According to Psalm 8, King David was granted the privilege of Divine Access to a Heavenly Conversation, which was documented for our instruction. Within that Celestial Exchange, a critical question was asked, which is valid food for thought: "What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him? You have made him A LITTLE LOWER THAN THE ANGELS, and You have crowned him with Glory and Honour" (Ps. 8:4-5). The Hebrew word directly translated "angel" from the English Language in the aforementioned Bible Passage is "Elohim" which literally means "the Godhead" or the Trinity. This essentially means that we, as Christian believers, are in God's Own Class. The following is God's Designated Organogram or Chain of command:
(1.) THE GODHEAD OR TRINITY i.e., God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
(2.) RECREATED MAN i.e., every genuinely born again Christian believer.
(3.) THE HOLY ANGELS.
(4.) THE DEVIL HIMSELF.
(5.) THE FALLEN ANGELS AND DEMONS.
(6.) FALLEN UNRECREATED MAN.
(7.) ANIMALS i.e., aerial, aquatic, terrestrial and amphibious.
(8.) INSECTS AND BUGS.
(9.) PLANTS i.e., living organisms lacking locomotion.
(10.) INANIMATE OBJECTS.
What the aforementioned "hierarchy" reveals to us is the fact that every single Christian believer is answerable to God alone according to the Spiritual Chain of Command, which is why our worship is reserved only for the Godhead (Col. 1:15-18). On this premise, it is an abomination for any Genuine Christian believer to worship angels who have been deployed by God to "do His Word, heeding the Voice of His Word" (Ps. 103:20b). Armed with this Truth, the onus lies upon us to stop treating satan as though he is a fallen god whereas he is just a fallen angel. In other words, he would still be our servant even if he hadn't fallen in the first place since the Holy Bible declares: "Are they not ALL MINISTERING SPIRITS sent forth to minister for those who will inherit Salvation?" (Heb. 1:14).
