One of the most established reasons the Return of the Lord Jesus is being delayed is the Unfinished Task of preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom to every nation and covering every corner of the Earth with the Message of Salvation (Matt. 24:14). Remarkably, significant strides have been made in recent years regarding the spread of the Good News to numerous regions, but there still remains a plethora of unreached people groups and communities where the Gospel is yet to penetrate. To the truly discerning, there has been a consistent pattern throughout the Various Moves of God in Church History i.e., the emergence of new technology, facilitating the rapid spread of these Movements across the entire world (Dan. 12:4). It's obviously an act of Divine Providence that the timeline of each of these major technological advancements overlapped with a Major Spiritual Revival and Revelation of that particular era. For instance, Johannes Guttenberg had just invented the Printing Press towards the end of the Middle Ages. Around the same time, the German monk Martin Luther sparked off the Reformation across Europe with his famous ninety five theses. This technology quickened the rapid mass production of Bibles and Sacred Literature, making Luther's teachings reach a wider audience in a much shorter period of time (Ps. 68:11). Additionally within the first decade of the twentieth century, as the Church began to understand the Revelation of Sanctification and the Faith Movement, the mainstream media platforms such as Telegraph, Radio and Television revolutionized communication. The Charismatic Movement ignited by William J Seymour during the Asuza Street Revival fully leveraged on this technology, ushering televised Revivals and Holy Ghost Services straight into millions of homes globally.
Following a similar trend today, the internet through social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, Threads etc, have fully stolen the spotlight. This Current Revival which is believed by most credible Prophecy scholars to be the Last Major Move of God is maximizing these digital platforms primarily for the Purpose of sharing the Gospel, broadcasting live Services and connecting hundreds of millions and billions of people within Christian Communities worldwide. The Sacred Words of the Lord Jesus are getting fulfilled in epidemic proportions and dimensions, just as He exhorted: "What you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops" (Matt. 10:27). The Primary Purpose of Media is to spread the Gospel of the Kingdom throughout the whole Earth today. On this basis, the onus lies squarely upon us to partner with God to spread the Good News rapidly (Ps. 19:1-3).
Whatever delays the Second Advent of the Lord Jesus Christ due to our unfinished task of Global Evangelization underlines the Ongoing Responsibility of True Christian believers to fulfil the Great Commission by reaching all of the unreached people groups so that "this Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a Testimony to all nations, and THEN the End will come" (Matt. 24:14). Placing technological advancements in alignment with Spiritual Revelations underscores the Sovereign Plan of the Lord God Almighty to ensure that His Word and Message of Redemption permeates every corner of the globe. While navigating our way through this digital age in this era of social media, we have been blessed with a Massive Opportunity to fulfil the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19-20) by utilizing this modern technology to spread the Light of the Gospel and disciple the nations. The Lord God Almighty Himself grant us the Grace to discern this Hallowed Trust that He alone has placed within our hands.
