Dominion is basically a Divine Mandate entrusted to all men by the Lord God Almighty Himself during Creation. God is the Undisputed Sovereign and King of the entire Universe. It is equally an established fact that every visionary king does not just reign over a territory but also expands his influence and Dominion to other territories. It is the Sacred Responsibility of mankind to reign and exercise Dominion upon the Earth on behalf of God as His vice-regent (Ps. 115:16). In order to be able to effectively execute our job as God's Instrument of Dominion in the Earth realm, we must be equipped with Strategic Foresight without which we are at a massive disadvantage because in order to BE ahead, we must first of all SEE ahead.
Strategic Foresight could be fundamentally defined as "the ability to see the Future and strategically prepare and position oneself for it." You need to see the Future first before you can own it. Strategic Foresight is essentially a combination of Strategy (Planning) and Foresight (Vision and Prophecy). Strategic Foresight is crucial for exercising Dominion, something which is impossible without the Foresight gained from Prophecy, History (Hindsight), Study and Observation. More than a few Christian believers fail to realize that Prayer alone is not enough.
We need to be vigilant enough to learn how to observe trends, study current affairs, fact-find and in our Prayers trust God for Prophetic Foresight. We need to study History and carefully learn from it because the Future is always concealed within the past. The Holy Bible says the same, so emphatically: "History merely repeats itself. It has all been done before. Nothing under the Sun is truly new" [Ecc. 1:9 NLT]. It is only those people who see the Future, plan and position themselves for it that finally end up ruling and reigning over those who never saw the future or planned for it in the first place. Selah.
