Whatever is birthed by Prayer must of necessity be sustained and ended by Prayer (Lk. 1:38; 9:28-31; 23:46). From the aforementioned Scriptures, it is evident that the Lord Jesus Christ Himself was conceived in Prayer, sustained His Earthly Ministry with Prayer and breathed His Last Words upon the Cross as a Prayer. Indeed, a casual approach to Prayer inevitably turns people to casualties.
The following are a few Major Functions of Prayer which cause Significant Change and underscore the importance of having a Vibrant Prayer Closet:
PRAYER PRECIPITATES REVIVAL
(Isa. 62:1) Before any Revival under the Sun can descend, Fervent Quality Prayers must first of all ascend. Whenever you see a Revival in any nation, it simply means that Intercession has gone up and the Intercessors or Watchmen have done a great job (Joel 2:1-32). The bottom line here is that all Revivals are birthed in the Place of Prayer.
PRAYER IS A PROPELLER
(Isa. 40:3-10) The Spiritual Speed or Dimension that any Minister can achieve is directly proportional to the Propelling Force of his Prayer Altar. Simply put, the Energy it exerts determines the result you can accomplish.
PRAYER OPENS PORTALS
(Dan. 4:17) The Will of God can never be executed without Divine Access to the Portals in question. The Kingdom of God is highly organized hence God's Agenda or Plans are sealed and it is only the Heavenly Watchers that can crack into that Realm.
PRAYER AVERTS DESTRUCTION
(Ezek. 22:30) The Lord God would never destroy anybody without the involvement of a watchman whose job is to stand in the gap. However, if the said watchman doesn't know how to intercede properly, destruction becomes inevitable with the blood of the casualties upon his own head. This is why every generation must raise for themselves Faithful Intercessors who are willing to stand in the gap for the endangered nations of the world.
